Hi there my kitties!
Happy New Year to all of you out there! I hope that all of you had a great holiday season and hope that Santa was super duper nice to you all. My Santa was pretty good to me too but as of all of you I ate so much that I will probably be full until next Xmas ahah.
I had a week off to spend with friends and family and reflect about my resolutions. I need to be healthy in order to be more active, happier and more energized. I came to the conclusion that I needed to drink more water than what I used to drink before (which was basically nothing). I basically bought myself a water bottle to be more inclined to drink more water because if you try to bring a plastic water bottle from home, the fact of the matter is that you either will forget to take one before you leave the house or you will forget all together. By bringing a water bottle that keeps the water cool for you, you will get into the habit of bringing that water bottle to the gym, your meeting, lunchtime etc.
I did cut out all unnecessary carbs and junk food even though we all know delicious French fries are but tough love wins all the time. I took a trip to whole foods the past couple days and basically purchased healthy snacks such as dark chocolate pretzels and wheat thins, almonds and snapeas. The best habit is to eat more often and in little portions rather than eating three times a day in big portions.
I have cut sugars out of my diet as they are the number one cause of weight gain and throws your metabolism out of whack. As I have started to exercise more often and usually very early in the morning, I have become more energetic and more active than I used to be. I had to make these decisions for me and no one else because I have to start and show some love to my body.
What are your New Year’s resolutions? I would love to hear your ideas and your tips.
Hope all of you are happy and healthy.
